Another great game in the heat against Adelaide with a big 16 – 8 win. The whole team played well again this week in the hot conditions. Jonah Byrnes started on the hill and went to his pitch limit and only conceded 3 runs. Griff Weber backed him up and finished off the game for us. Jarrod Miller had the catchers gear on all game which is a great effort in itself but he then also spent a lot of time running around the bases. A fantastic catch out at left field by Alex Martin saw him winning this weeks catch card and another long hit to Muzza saw him win the longest hit of the week award. I must make special mention to Lachy Eichner who got two sensational hits on the week end and his confidence is growing week by week. Well done Lachy!!!!! To the rest of the team WELL DONE you are all improving every game and you really are a great team to coach.Tim and I are pretty lucky to have such a great bunch of kids!!!! Stay cool and seeya on Sunday @ 11 for a 12 o’clock start. Dont forget Norwood Oval Friday night for the new national league competition.
Cheers Jamie Boydon

This week the boys took on Sturt at home and we drew 9 all. This was agreat effort against such an experienced bigger side. We were three runsup going into the last and unfortunatly they hit a home run to score 3and tie the ball game. Thats  baseball!!! As you know it was veryhot on Sunday so I would like to make special mention to our catchers GriffenWeber and Jarrod Miller who did a great job in such extreme conditions.Lachy Eichner had his first start on the mound for us and did as he wasasked. Throw strikes!! Jack Pillion then stepped up on the mound, alsofor the first time this season and  threw exceptionaly well. Sturtare a very good, strong experienced team and those boys on the mound shouldbe very proud of their efforts against such strong competition. All theboys should be very proud!!!!  Muzza (Mario) hit the ball hard againthis week with Jonah, Alex, Cooper and Curtis either getting hits or showinghow strong/reliable they are defensively.  I would also like to thankOscar Mitton for sitting on the bench after playing a cracker game in theminors. Thanks Oscar!!!!!

Thankyou scorers, manager, asst coach, parents, bat boys and anyone elseI forgot.

Lachy Eichner and Jonah Byrnes are worthyof special mentions with great performances in the batting box and solidfielding displays. Jonah taking two exceptional game winning catches atleft feild at crucial times of the game. A fantastic start to the year from the boys defeating Southern Districts 10 – 4
Jonty Scharenberg started on the mound for us and did his job perfectly. The boys in the field supported him well making the basic plays as asked. Curtis Mead and Cooper Boydon came in and had a pitch also with solid performances from both. All the boys did well with the bat - Mario, Cooper, Curtis and Jonah the stand outs getting bat on ball more than once. A great effort behind the plate from Jarrod Miller showing plenty of spark.
An all round good team effort with aggressive base running and plenty of chatter in the field and off the bench supporting each other was fantastic to see. Looking forward to another good team effort next week against Goodwood.
