Fees

Its always a prickly subject when it comes to finances, but it is timely to remind you all that subs are over due. If you have not paid your fees in full or in part, then could you please see me as a matter of urgency. We are a self-funded sport and the money goes to cover equipment and insurance. Coaches are volunteers as are the committee and helpers around the club. We need you to make good your financial commitment to the club.

 Friday night meals

Are back on again this Friday at the club after a week off for the Seniors Christmas Party. If you are rostered on, please be at the kitchen by 5.15pm so that we can get organised

Games availability

The holiday season is fast approaching and I am aware that some of you will be taking journeys to places that will prevent you from attending matches. Could I ask that you let your coach know well in advance of any trip that will make your son unavailable. The season pauses over Christmas and resumes in late January. The last game in December is the 20th of December, and the first game back is on January 24th.

 National Championships

Whilst the season is in recess, the players in the Under 14, 16 and 18 State teams will play their National Tournaments. As listed previously, more than any other club, West Torrens is heavily represented in Junior State teams. 3 Under 14’s, 8 Under 16’s and 2 Under 18’s. A total of 13 in all. Throw in our Little Leagu e representatives and coaches and the number is around 20. We wish them all luck in January. Prior to this, they will play games against some visiting American teams at the Woodville Baseball Club from December 26th till the 31st. So, if you’re missing your baseball and would like to have a look, pop down to Woodville and catch a game.
