Div 1 comeback falls short

Div 1 just fell short of what would have been a great comback victory on Sunday. After trailing 8-1 bottom 5 the boys rallied including 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to just miss out.

The never-say-die attitude was extremely pleasing, but the result could have been different with some more timely hitting and better execution at different stages of the game. A few errors also turned out to be costly. Overall the pitchers were good. Rexy started sharp and continued to toil to keep us in the game, Steve-O was commanding and Redman was lights out. Some good hitting contributions from Falls, Fiebig and A Chapman were also positive.

With some more work during the week, the boys will be primed to take on GG away this weekend in what is a must win game in the shortened format this season.
