Helpers needed

The first thing you will notice about West Torrens is how busy we are. There are a number of things to do every week and we ask that you put your hand up to help out when you can and as often as you can. Some of the tasks that need doing include, but are not limited to:

  • Team Manager
  • Scorer
  • Putting out and collecting cones before and after matches
  • Erecting sun shades before and after games.
  • Erecting and dismantling the backstop for Little League matches
  • Hosing down and sweeping up the mound and home plate
  • Putting out and collecting the bases
  • Helping out in the canteen when its your rostered turn
  • Helping out with teas on a Friday evening when its your rostered turn
  • Collecting balls for the coach at training
  • Carrying the gear for the coach so that he doesn’t have to lug everything

These and many more things need each and every one of us to contribute so that our club is well run and every one enjoys their time out watching their kids play baseball.

Don’t it leave it to the FEW to do it ALL.

To this end, Bernadette Donaldson and Karen Scheer, as members of the Junior Committee will be in touch with you soon to organise dates for when you will be able to help out on rosters. If we all pitch in, then we only have to do things twice a season. Please respond positively to their approaches.
